Summary: |
The world consists of two dimensions joined as one, like a mirror. The first is the world in which the humans live, Assiah. The other is the world of demons, Gehenna. Ordinarily, travel between the two, and indeed any kind of contact between the two, is impossible. However the demons can pass over into this world by possessing anything that exists within it. Satan is the god of demons, but there's one thing that he doesn't have and that's a container in the human world that is powerful enough to hold him! For that purpose, he created Okumura Rin, his son from a human woman, but will his son agree to his plans, or will he become something else...? After killing Rin's guardian Father Fujimoto in an attempt to bring Rin back to the Demon world, it led to Rin's journey on becoming an Exorcist in order to defeat Satan. |

There are only two episodes as of today and I liked them both. The story is pretty average, so far. Orphaned kid is the offspring of Satan, Satan wants to take him over, demons come and nearly kill his "family," but barely survive then OMG dad's dead. It's nothing new, but the characters make up for it. They're not particularly new either, and only two have decent development so far but they're endearing. Too bad one's already dead... But the brother has potential and the intro promises other characters as well, so hopefully they'll be worthwhile too. The animation is great. I don't know why people are saying average because it's easily comparable to Naruto and Bleach and the latest Gundams. There's a lot of detail and it looks pretty. My problem with it are the demons. Their design's a bit off-putting, especially since the main character has a bit of it too once he gets his powers. He looks better as a human. The characters aren't realistic looking, but this is anime--they're not supposed to be. So far the story has been slow, but hopefully that means they're developing it over time instead of blasting us with it right away. The fight scenes, the few that there have been, are pretty good but a bit quick. It seems like everything is a one-hit kill, but hopefully that'll change as the stronger enemies come. I'll probably take time to watch it each week.
