I went to a local 2nd hand dvd/cd store one day looking for something new. I was looking for something new to watch.. well maybe not new.. but something I haven't seen before.
I've always loved animation of any kind and found Vol 1-3 of Betterman. Over all, for it's time, it was an excellent series. It isn't a mindless anime, but instead one you have to follow closely from the beginning. I'm not saying you can't enjoy later episodes without watching the beginning, no.. it is still quite enjoyable... However, there is some things one might not understand if picked up in the middle. I do recommended this series.
This is one of those "Wrong place, right time, robots and mutants" type of series. There is plenty of action, but plenty of story as well. It's not for everyone, but people who love classic style anime will love this series.
