If you want my personal opinion: This one’s a lot better than the other OVA “Memories in the Rain” which seemed like a simple remake of the anime/manga.
“The Sealed Sword Frenzy” is action-packed, short and quite easy to follow; the plot's a bit simplistic at times but seeing as this is a 30-min OVA, that's still fine for me. Similar to the movies, it is a TWT – saying it does not comfortably and snugly fit into a single point of the original plot – but a nice and entertaining change from the overall series. Dialogue isn’t too generic and actually has some pretty lol-worthy scenes (Renji and Ichigo’s little fights :D). The animation is not the very latest quality but easily watchable, 4.5/5.
If you don’t know Bleach but want a short example of a funny yet action-packed scene, here you are. Bleach fans come one, come all; don’t expect something too tied to the series, but it for sure is a nice change of pace, especially now that the anime seems to have stopped for the time being.
