The story centers around Ryūta Sakamoto, a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young man and a top-ranked player in the online combat game Btoom! One day, he wakes up on a tropical island without remembering how he got there. He sees a figure in the distance and asks for help. However, the figure responds by throwing something at Ryūta — a "BIM" bomb. In that moment, Ryūta comes to realize two things: one, his own life is in danger, and two, he is now in the world of Btoom! |

Another one worth watching

The concept is about the same like SAO but this one is different on that they are in an island fighting against 32 players and need to get enough chips in order to get out of the island. It's very realistic by showing the ugly side of human's nature when they are in a pinch and it tooks a lot of effort just to earn someone's trust.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
