initially I came into this anime thinking that it was going to be a somewhat card based show with the highlight of a romance anime. Boy was I wrong. Chihayafuru does such an amazing job of going out of the box and making a great mix of action, conversation, suspense and romance. Overall this was a very surpisingly good anime, and I personally cant wait for the 2nd season to wrap up so i can watch that one too.
