Set in an alternate future, the series focus on how the former prince Lelouch Lamperouge obtains a power known as Geass and decides to use it to destroy the Holy Britannian Empire, an imperial monarchy and a superpower that has been conquering various countries.

Code Geass is intriguing and clever. The beginning of the second season will turn your world upside down, and the last few episodes of the series create one of the best endings to date in anime.
