"Daily lives of High School Boys" was an entertaining anime that mixed recognizable events with complete absurd twists and humor.
Episodes of this show consist of a couple of shorter sketches and there isn't much story or plot. The last episode just pulls an ending out of thin air and even jokes about it. The fourth wall (the separation between our reality and the one in the anime) is broken very often just like this throughout the series.
"Daily lives"'s strong point is its cast of characters and their conversations. Because of this it starts out a bit slow but gains speed as more characters are added to the avalanche. In this aspect it reminded me of "School Rumble", one of my favorite anime, with less romance.
The art was mostly okay but at first I couldn't always distinguish some characters and it took some getting used to the hidden eyes of some girls.
"Daily lives of High School Boys" is a good comedy, especially if you like some absurdity that sometimes almost rivals "Arakawa under the bridge". I was disappointed that there weren't more episodes.
what I liked:
- Great outro! Made me smile every time :)
- Slightly absurd humor
- The fourth wall was often broken.
what I didn't like:
- The jokes were sometimes a bit predictable.
- No connecting story line.
- The eyes of some girls were never drawn.
