Ganta Igarashi has been convicted of a crime that he hasn't committed, and sent to a new, privately owned and operated prison, where the inmates are the main attraction in a modern day twist to the gladiatorial coliseums of ancient times. This is an anime that could have been another Bleach, or Naruto, or even One Piece. I mean if that's your thing. I read the manga a few months before the anime came out, and was really excited for it. But when it came out I was disappointed...the animation is beautiful and up there with the best of them, but the plot devices the author uses annoys me. The story could have been drawn out and expanded, there is soooo much you can do with powers like the ones they have here. Just another anime that could have been so much better...
