The story revolves around a highschool boy named Niwa Makoto. He lives with his auntโs family since his parents are away on business. It is there where he meets his mysterious cousin of the same age Touwa Erio โ who happens to tie a futon mattress around her upper body and is a self-proclaimed alien. Her staple food is pizza. Erio had been missing for half a year and was found floating in the sea. She doesn't remember anything about what happened during that period of time, but she began to think that it was the act of an alien and wanders the neighbourhood wrapped in the futon. |

[Title] Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko, aka. Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl
[Episode] 1-4
[Release] Mazui. Subtitles were soft and easy to read, didn't clash with the background. There were a couple of minor typos.
[Plot]
A little strange at times, but the good kind of strange. Though it's not going to be for everyone.
[Music]
The opening and ending are nice. If you read the translated lyrics, it's rather amusing, to be honest. The OST is beautiful, its the first OST I've wanted to buy in a while.
[Characters]
A varied cast of strange yet interesting characters; A girl that lives in a rolled up futon, a mother that completely ignores it, a classmate that loves fruit, and another that wanders in cosplay at night.
[Overall]
After watching the first episode, I wasn't really sure I'd like it. It just seemed too absurd. A girl in a futon, I mean, come on, thats crazy. But for some reason, I downloaded the next few and decided to try and watch them. Episode 2 was better, futon girl gaining a face at last, so I pressed onwards to episode 3.
The ending of episode 3 was beautiful. Floating in the sky, if only for a moment, then abruptly falling down, then Erio breaking down as her dreams and illusions were shattered completely. A stunning moment of seriousness in the otherwise lighthearted anime.
Episode 4 felt like an epilogue. I feel that it could have ended there as a short 4 episode OVA series. I would've been satisfied. Everything worthwhile seems to have happened already, though there are another 8 episodes left.
