In the 11th year of the Meiji era: the Japanese population is increasingly dissatisfied with the government due to the increasing speed of Westernisation and the ban on samurai. In order to curb the increased rate of crime, the government opens a new prison. First 4 episodes,its quite boring. But when it comes to 5th episode suddenly the plot become interesting and trust me it is worth watching. Starting 5th episode above,the thrills begin and tears wont stop coming (Sorry I keep crying non stop) . Why this anime has a lame beginning? most people may abandon this but lucky I watch this till the end. Just bear the 'spoilers' for 4 episodes, after that this anime is simply AWESOME!
I'll rate it 8/10. - minus two because of the early episodes.
