The concept of Powering Up is what makes Dragon Ball Kai a good anime. Although it would be foolish to say it's original, Dragon Ball Kai, which is the remake of the original Dragon Ball Z, the serie that originally features this kind of story. It doesn't get 5/5 because it will end up being a Good versus Evil serie without anything deeper than that.
Dialogue poor (2/5):
Endless pointless speeches, even this compressed version of Dragon Ball Z features a lot of pointless boring dialogue between the "good guys" and the "bad guys".
Animation (4/5):
The animation is the same as Dragon Ball Z, the only thing that change is the aspect. Although the graphics are outdated, they're still "watchable".
Entertainment (5/5):
Unlike other fighting series, Dragon Ball Kai shows a lot of fighting and less pointless speeches. It worth watching.
