Best anime I have ever watched

Story: WOW just wow the story is what makes this anime it's probably the best story I've ever heard about, watched, seen. However the story would not make this anime amazing if the actual dialogue and animation weren't amazing as well. the first thing that I really liked about this anime were that the length was perfect I really wished that it could have gone on longer but I know in my heart that if it hadn't have ended where it did the FMAB wouldn't have been as enjoyable. The second major thing I loved about FMAB was that the seriousness of the series was tempered by the humour, some people might think that this is slightly insensitive but I think that without the humour FMAB would just be a depression ridden anime full of angst. But the absolutely biggest things I loved about this story was that it was really consistent in what it allowed the characters to do, the final battle isn't just the main character just magically ending up with more power than the villain through sheer force of will (spoiler alert stop reading here and skip to the next paragraph if you haven't seen the anime). Instead "Our Father" gets defeated because of something that has played a role in the entire series the bond between people. I mean it's great the whole series is about the bond between brothers and in the end that is how the defeat him, with the bond that connects any single human to every one they have ever met.

Dialogue: The dialogue complements the story well by helping to build the characters through the emotion in their voices and what they talk about in important situations. Also none of the dialogue seemed forced or out of place and it all flows very smoothly and is easy to follow. Yet the most amazing thing about the dialogue is that this is consistent most anime will have certain parts where the dialogue doesn't seem right (either in subbed or dubbed) yet I haven't noticed it in FMAB.

Animation: some people might think the animation isn't good but I personally really liked it and thought it was really good especially for the time it was made in.

Fight scenes: I loved them because they were mostly about out thinking your opponent in some way and using your strengths to defeat your opponents weaknesses. characters have to use there imagination to fight not simply I have a higher power level I win (no offence intended to any DBZ fans out there ) *spoiler alert stop reading here and skip to the next paragraph if you haven't seen the anime*. For example when Al fights Kimblee (I know I spelt it wrong) or when everyone fights pride the person who wins is the person who uses there initiative and imagination to win not simply the strongest or fastest. I also really like the fight animations and thought they were good even though the actual animation wasn't an extremely high quality now it was when it was made.

Humour: As I said before I thought the humour played a big part in stopping the series being too depressing but not only that the humour was really good and generally quite funny. Although at times the humour was also out of place in the seriousness of the situations this only made the whole scene more lively and less depressing. However most of the time seriousness was left to be serious and humor was only used to curb some of the depression or to make it more sad. for example Episode 9-15 (I think)

Characters: I loved all the characters because they all had depth and people could understand their motivation to do things. (Not saying any more because of spoilers)

Overall I loved everything about this series but if I were to type down all my thoughts about it it would be so long no one would every read it. I know that I mainly focused on story in this review but that is the main part of this anime and I know that I left out things that make this anime more awesome but I really didn't want to make this too long ........
