The Strength of true BROTHERHOOD.

The first FMA series was quite entertaining and had many thrilling plots and gripping adventure. Brotherhood plays along a similar timeline and you will notice that it seems very similar initially, however you will soon realize that the Producer BONES followed the manga very closely in this telling of the epic journey of th Elric brothers. IT is much faster paced, but gives more information at the core elements of the story instead of sacrificing them. Some FMA episodes are totally removed but still somehow referred to or mentioned in this version. The whole pace is far more dramatic and gives much more intense importance to the brothers' plight. It also has less fill "airy" story that comes from what felt like filled space in the original TV made FMA.

Brotherhood has each episode acting as its own piece of entertainment with purpose and tells a complete action packed drama in itself while intelligentlly connecting itself to, and progressing the entire story at a pace that is just right. It explains things never truly known in the other FMA and while every ending completes the episode it leaves you wanting for more. Excited to watch the next episode.

The animation is NOTICABLY of higher production quality. More fluid animation and dynamic scenes from some very intriuging camera angles. The battle scenes are choreographed with provocative intensity that has you gripped during battle scenes. The character designs are similar and don't change the look and feel of the long loved cast, but actually brings even more life and attachment to each one.

Mentioning cast without saying too much- it adds a whole new angle from another country involved with very charismatic cast added to the scheme and has other well known members acting different in a very likable way. Overall, I enjoy this closer to the manga telling more most of the time, while still remembering some of the great moments of the original FMA. This is one to enjoy. The story is very thought provoking as well. This is one of those stand out animes that really make you search your thoughts for meaning in the story after you watch it and try to predict possible future events. Try a viewing session give it 5 or so episodes and you will be watching more.
