You ever wondered what Stan Lee+anime would be like? Of course you have :) And here is the answer. The first story arc is your classic alien invasion, it also establishes future plot points of the season. Second story arc is where Joey and Heroman are on the run because the government are paranoid douchdebags who want to keep Heroman/Joey from ever going rogue. Though at the end of that arc he proves himself and wins the governments approval. Final story arc seems disjointed at first, but they tie it together pretty skillfully when the aliens return stronger than ever, making the story come full circle. Most of the characters are pretty much modeled after the general tropes of the superhero genre, but they are used fairly competent, advancing the story when they need to. One that did suprise me though is Linas older brother Will. From the main characters bully, transformed into tragic anti-hero. I´m looking forward to what they will do him in the following season. I´m also intrigued at what new plan Dr Minami will hatch when he returns. I think he and Professor Denton could play off each other pretty well. because imo they are each others opposites. I think they are equally smart, but whereas Minami is almost exclusively driven by his ambition for power, Denton is content with being a school teacher, and just want to help his fellow man. After all, as smart as he is, I´m sure he could earn a lot more helping the goverment than just working at a school. Though I guess he probably has gotten some check for the help he has done for them so far. Still, long term he would probably be better off working for the government.
