Before long, within the human race supernatural girls with the power of the dragons, called "D," were born. The secret existence of the only male "D," the boy Mononobe Yuu, was forcefully thrown into the school where the girls of "D" gathered—Midgar, where he saw the naked body of one of the students, Iris. Furthermore, meeting his long-lost sister Mitsuki, Yuu seems to have been enrolled into this school...?! "When there's really no other choice, Iris, I will—kill you." "Can I really... believe you?" The curtains open as the "one and only story" about the boy who was supposed to become the strongest assassin and the incompetent girl unfolds—! Unlimited School Battle Action!

First and foremost, you do not need to take my word for this, just watch and you'll understand.
1. The story line is actually decent, and honestly....semi-original? Okay, its been washed, dried, hung out to dry and reused several times but who cares right? 25 years ago the "Dragons"(not dragon-like ethereal-looking beings) appear, then suddenly vanish...but wait, girls gain dragon-like powers after that, but(just like I.S.) there is one boy IN THE WORLD who can use these Dragon abilities...
2. It seemed like they rushed or were in a deadline crisis for each episode, because aside of the mundane repetitive harem-ecchi scenes and the constant time skips and flashbacks, there's little progress for explaining ANYTHING about the characters except Yuu, Mitsuki and Iris.
3. Character development could be better, in my opinion, due to the bland personalities the characters were given. Typical OPd boy who is the nice guy put in ecchi situations unwillingly, Little sister with Bro-Con and weight of the world on her shoulders, Blonde with the "I'm better than you so grovel" attitude, The bookworm who plays 1 prank, The young "wife" with identity confusion(am i human? am i dragon?), The "I'm afraid of adult men" girl, and you can't forget the clutz who apparently can't use her abilities right(without words of advice from the male). Then there's the teacher who has almost no screen time, OH did I mention the harem wanting yuri principal(loli...) who wants to share her "pure girls" with the ONLY male protagonist?
4. Animation could be better, but it isn't horrible...i mean a couple dragons look like blobs with basic form to me. Morning/evening/night scenes could have been colored appropriately(when they actually had them). The 'dark matter' just looked like black balls with sparkles....like an over sized black jawbreaker candy. The abilities were a little......absurd? I mean Gungnir? really? the spear that never misses and is used by Odin placed into the hands of a young girl who just shoots yellow streams from it? Oh cant forget the GIANT GUN that gets shot at every dragon that attacks, and instantly kills upon contact.....anticlimactic.
5. They must be running out of naming schemes because they're reusing Norse and Greek names for the weapons, abilities and organizations, and dragon names. Fafnir: just another way to say Fenrir who is the son of Loki that holds the destiny of devouring Odin and bringing about Ragnarok. Freya...the controls the Valkyries(but they don't exist in the anime), not a clutz who doesn't know how to use her powers. Loki, well he a trickster, and somewhat(?) plays his role. Midgard is actually the whole planet within the world tree Yggdrasil(which for some reason is a dragon that can't move because it's a tree).....
I should rate it lower, but my sense of entertainment has been repeat series' lately and I wanted something fresh, I am probably only ever going to watch this series one time, it disappointed my expectations I had from the description. All in all, if this were a 10 point rating system, I'd give it a 4/10, its rushed, full of flashbacks, has little to no character development, and reuses the base story line of Infinite Stratos(and I enjoyed that one more than this one).
