I'm super glad i gave this one a try. I initially thought this would be yet another cliched, average, unsatisfying, plotless watch. However, it is absolutely none of the just mentioned.

As i am currently in the last year of my high school years it indeed is getting tough. I find it hard to balance fun, family and school and constantly find myself depressed and sad. I find myself losing interest in most things i used to love and cherish - it is all becoming so, so hopeless.

Kimi To Boku however allowed me to see a brighter, carefree school life and family life as well as daily interactions and occurrances. It showed me that if for one second i was able to briefly just forget about everything and let go, look forward positively and thank my friends and family for small things - i find hope again. This anime shows a true side of friendship, it shows me what i long for most. I have always wished to be among a close-nit group of friends and just be myself. It shows a side of Japanese life that i absolutely love.

The animation, dialogue and music flows very nicely and fits extremely well with the story. It is a light hearted, very funny and refreshing watch. I deeply recommend for all who are currently still in the process of going through school and even those who have long finished but still look back to those good school years. The Japanese culture and schooling portrayed is amazing, it allows us to reflect upon our own schooling and draw upon the similarities that may make us feel a bit better. That is is not only just you going through these tough times. Kimi To Boku reminds us that many others are going through the same process, that family and friends are actually always there to help you in one way or another and maybe, just maybe hope is right next to you waiting for you to open your eyes. So throw away your insecurities and believe in yourself to succeed. Watch this anime to gain motivation once again!

Enjoy.
