Summary: One day, Ikuto has a fight with his father and as a result runs away from home in the heat of the moment. Everything was going well until he boarded a ship, but then he carelessly fell overboard. After encountering the most serious raging storm in a hundred years, and spending many days adrift, he arrives here, at "Airantou". However, this island is a little weird...because, this Airantou is an island comprising solely of girls. An (extremely enviable) destiny awaits Ikuto.

The biggest virtue of 'Nagasarete Airantou' is probably that after a while it really draws you in. I especially noticed this when I had just finished the series. I suddenly felt very sad and wanted to continue watching the adventures of the main characters.

The story is basically the king of all harem settings, one guy on an island full of girls, but don't let this put you off. Unlike most harem anime the main character doesn't really form one. He indirectly chooses one girl which makes the ending really touching.
Another good property of the story is how it uses fantasy elements but because of the mysteriousness of the island it kind of makes sense.

The dialogue can be quite funny from time to time. There are allot of (maybe stereotypical) characters which makes for allot of funny combinations and situations.

The art was what made me watch this series. It really resembles 'Seto no hanayome', a hilarious anime, and I had hoped that the resemblence wouldn't end there. Unfortunatly besides a few things, they don't have that much in common and Airantou isn't as good as Seto. Still, I like the animation style.

'Nagasarete Airantou' has some funny moments, some touching moments and some hilarious characters. It's biggest forte is that you feel like you're a part of the big cast and want to experience some adventures with them.
