Naruto, one of the proclaimed "best/top animes" of all time? I don't think so. Naruto taught me a lot of things in life? Hah. Stop pulling my leg, kid. If anything, Naruto only taught you one thing, oh wait... I don't think it left me any lessons whatsoever on life at all. Before all you die-hard Naruto-fanboys get your panties in a twist, it's not that I'm mocking Naruto or anything, and I have to admit it has it's plus sides, Naruto is overall an average anime, well, that's as far as my opinion goes.
Let's see, characters, hmm...it does have it's share of sketchy, goofy, uptight, emo, rash, naive, and smart characters but unfortunately none of them stand out. Well it is my opinion so let me write whatever I want before you go smash your keyboard and flame at me breathing like a boar in heat. What I'm saying is none of them left any impact to me at all. They were, if not all, most of them are just overused archetypes of shounen characters just to fill in so the story would make 12 y/o fanboys jump in glee whenever a cool fight scene ensue or get 1-inch Asian boners whenever some boing boing fanservice scene pops up.
As far as the story goes, it does have it's share of badassery, but what peeves me the most is the very beta way of ending a fight with shounen nakama powers suddenly welling up in the MC's veins as he is about to lose, then for some unfathomable reason, turns the table around.
So, to end my rant, Naruto is an ok anime but not "the best" nor "the worst" either. I'd give it a 6/10. Then again, as I keep saying, this is all based on my opinion so I hope that anything that I've said hasn't affected you in any way, but if it did, then all I could say is, "Rage on weaboo-chan, rage on~!"
