READ THIS FIRST: Yeah, my reviews are long, so if you can't take long ones, just read the summary

Summary: Ok, I had to write this review to warn you guys out there. Though, someone already gave a warning before me but I guess Episode 7 kinda confirms it. There are hints of Shounen-Ai, so seriously, if you can't take even the slightest of these, don't watch at all. (Spoiler?: That includes you guys who can't take men dressing up as women) About the main character Shion, he may look like the crappy type of main character who is wimpy and so naive that it's just plain stupid (like a certain red-hair moron in Fate-Stay Night, ok not that bad) but, it gets better along the way, and pretty quickly too =) The story draws you in, and the characters are all easily likable or to symphatize with too.

Note: Latest episode was Episode 7 when review was submitted

Story: Other than the Shounen-Ai factor, if you can make it through and just ignore those moments (which are pretty few so far and no where near intense), No. 6 has a relatively decent plot. Although the storyline ain't completely original, the many untold details left it highly anticipating. What's going on in the correctional facility? What's Nezumi's background? Is there anything special about the other main characters, given certain incidents which happened out of the blue? Serious set-up with a carefully (and hopefully) thought out plot, it's one of those animes where pieces of a puzzle are gathered up throughout the episodes as the whole plot starts to reveal itself. Even so, it's not a very depressing anime, as you watch the characters slowly open up to one another after having to distrust others for a long time. Thus bonds are formed! *coughshounenaicough* well only pertaining to the certain two =X

Dialogue: If you're looking for humor or comedy, you're at the wrong place. It's full of sarcasm and words of distrust, like what you'll find in a world where everyone trusts no one in order to survive. No Crappy Seiyuus here either, voice acting true to the character's personal.

Animation: Sharp, vivid colours. Bright and dark when needed to suit the atmosphere. Character design is good too. Not much fighting or action scenes so far, mostly content-heavy. Hopefully, there will be more to come but, whatever scenes there were, it was fluid and not dull.

Entertainment: Sure, it left me curious and wanting to know more about the characters and to have a clear picture about what No. 6 and its correctional facility are exactly. (Spoiler?: It would seem that the other No.s aren't exactly the same like No.6) On another note, I seriously wasn't expecting any Shounen-ai elements to come in, and even I do like watching shounen-ai anime, it felt a bit off. Like, it was kinda out of nowhere and left me uncomfortable at first. Maybe it's just me, but I feel that this anime would have done just fine (or even better) if it were to do away with the shounen-ai parts.
