Junpei Kōsaka is a second-year high school student who despises cats and has an allergy to them. It just so happens that his high school crush is Kaede Mizuno, a girl who adores cats. One day, while walking home from school, Junpei kicks an empty can and unfortunately beans the local neko-jizō-sama (guardian deity of cats). He finds he can now understand what cats are saying, including his family's own ill-tempered cat, Nyamusasu. However, if he does not grant 100 wishes from cats, he will turn into cat himself. |

If you're looking for a lighthearted anime that will make you laugh, Nyan Koi is definitely for you. The humour is by far the best part of this anime, and the animation itself isn't too bad either. The story is great in terms of being original, the main character is hilarious and seeing him deal with the cat curse along with being caught in a very interesting love triangle is equally funny. Overall a good anime and a great laugh.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
