This is a great anime for anyone with the time to watch it. The show is full of adventure and comedy throughout and continues to make me laugh.
The powers of the characters and their design can be a little hard to take in and accept as they are indeed a bit strange. If you can overlook them, and understand that the world they sail in is built extravagantly and the writer takes everything over the top in everything he does you will easily get used to it and eventually accept it wholeheartedly.
Though the animation starts out a little rough and the story can be slow and battles can drag on through many episodes as well as contain a few recap episodes. If you look past these common things in long-running prime-time animes, you will find a fun and exciting anime worthy of watching. Beware of some of the filler you may encounter but they don't last too long usually and some are simply single episode side stories.
