only stupid people call others stupid, i used to think sayings like that were a load of crap but, i find it to be true in this case. people have reviewed one piece to be poor to very poor, calling luffy (the main character) ugly and stupid along with giving the anime as a whole a bad rep. these people should be ignored. one piece doesn't have nearing 500 episodes for no reason. if you love the characters even filler episodes are loved. it all depends on the viewer. the protagonist male monkey d. luffy is his own loveable person be he a little shy a few screws. that is part of who he is and part of what makes him so freakin adorable. jack sparrow is as dumb as a brick yet people love him. luffy is an amazing powerhouse with a huge heart and always puts others before himself. these pirates are awesome. free sailing life long nakama (friends). they go on many fun and outerworldly adventures you've got to see to believe. full of adventure, action, fighting, pirates, marines, love, comedy, friendship, bonds, death, fun, humor, and devil fruit users like rubberman luffy. if you are in love with the idea of one piece, with the characters, and story, it doesn't matter if there are fillers or how many episodes there are. die hard fans (like myself) don't care and most would rather see it go on and on. we're nearing episode 500 and what an adventure it's been. you come to love the characters, each and every one of them and if you haven't yet then give it up and stop watching, it's not the anime for you. the characters make up the franchise. people who are sceptic and haven't given it a shot yet should definatly keep up with it. give it a chance and watch. it definatly picks up as some have said. and if you don't want to wait, download the latest ep and spoiler yourself. if you've already given up then too bad for you. it is a lot of episodes to watch yes, and at times episodes seem less action worthy and a bit boring but it does pick up. it slows down after crocodiles defeat but i promise it picks back up. there are also people who've said that only download this for your children. have you even watched it, (is what i want to ask them) that is a total load of crap, do you want your kids watching blood, death, sexual hints, or curse words. this is a childs anime in japan JAPAN! japan is way different for kids than the naive american children. i'm american and i still say this. i grew up with anime and one piece has been one of my top 3 for a long time. i'm a 25 year old female and i love anime and have seen my fair share of many different genre, though i prefer action and adventure over any. one piece is definatly worth the watch for any anime lover. sorry for the long review but i just had to try and give one piece its justice. ~JAK-TGF~
