This is one of the most satisfying series I've had the pleasure of watching. The show is not for children, the story remains interesting which could only be appreciated by adults who have learned a thing or two from life. I skipped over this show a couple times because the cover art made me think it was one of those late 80s-early 90s animes. The art style is actually up to date. I sought out the reviews from the internet and learned that the show has some infamy, well earned by the fact that the show doesn't bend to censorship either in ideology or in graphics. It's REALLY violent and REALLY sexual, but not simply for being either of those things in and of themselves. The more you watch the more you get out of the series. Some shows like to reverberate incessantly with story lines which don't really go anywhere and simply reflect the crappy lives we all know too well.
It's hard to say how excellent this show is without giving away some of the features. Nothing is randomly put into the show, everything has a purpose, and everything is explained by the end. It's on my list of must-see now. I knew by the end of the first episode that I'd be watching the whole thing; by the beginning of the second episode it was obvious that the creator knew there would be a small audience and rewards the remaining viewers accordingly.
