First episodes are (almost) a carbon-copy of the original series, but soon, even if it follows the same path, some original plots develope. Characters and spirit are faithful to themselves, still there is a fine tuning to the actual times (i.e., a larger number of women... some fat-bottomed too!). Until now, the best remake I've ever seen. Highly recommended to old (yes, I was there in the beginning of '80s) and new anime fans.
