Steins;Gate is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them. |

With a fascinating, smart story comparable to Death Note this show does not disappoint. The animation is very good. The characters are enjoyable and funny. The script is fast-paced but understandable. I don't know how the director/writer could keep all the characters on target with all the twists in the plot but he/she did a very good job. This is like a mix between Thirteen Monkeys, Timecop, and Groundhog Day (sort of). If you can get past the first 3 episodes (a bit confusing at first), you'll be hooked like me.
