Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world. |

Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student who has the ability to see spirits, and Rukia Kuchiki, a shinigami (death god) who one day met with Ichigo while hunting down the evil spirit called a hollow. By the time Rukia fight against the hollow, he was injured and therefore he has no other way but to move his shinigami power to Ichigo. Since then this is the adventure of Ichigo and Rukia begin.
They both seek adventure and fight the hollows and perform rituals for the spirits haunting konsou. With this ritual, the spirits haunting received cleaning and they can be sent to the Soul Society (Community Spirit). The initial part of the story is focused on the characters and their past, and instead focused on the world of work shinigami. Over the course of the story, things like life shinigami in Soul Society began to unfold little by little.
