Summary:
Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world.
Bleach is great, the action is good but moreover the same. In the beginning I liked it a lot but for some reason it gradually began to sink. What i Hate most is the fillers. Those don't come when a chapter of the main story is over NOOO they come while the chapter is still going on. Let me give you an example with no spoilers of course.
The main story: A fight/battle begins, they fight a couple of episodes and just when you think;
oh just a few more episodes and the battle is over and we finally know who won or what's going to happen.
They come with the fillers just when the battle is starting to get exited or about to begin they show the fillers wich last forever.
So you get dissapointed alot because you think okay the next episode is going to be great and then BAAAM the damn fillers start right in the middle of the battle. But because I love anime I kept on watching but alot of my frieds stopt watching it because of that and because the characters are shallow.
Of course you can skip the fillers but you never know when they begin or end.
So it's a great anime but with a lot of flaws.
(I would recommend Naruto above bleach just because the story is so much better and deeper and the characters so much more real)
