One day, however, he meets a man who offers him a large sum of money if he'll agree to pay it back. From then on his fate is radically altered as he's drawn into a mysterious area known as "The Financial District." |

I almost didn't make it to episode 2 but I'm glad I stuck with it...
This was on my list of recent anime series to watch, but after the 1st episode I was so confused I wasn't sure I wanted to continue on with it! I decided that 1 episode wasn't enough to pass judgment on an entire series so I went ahead with episode 2 and I'm sure glad I did.
This was a very fast-paced anime series and it has to be for the small amount of episodes. The techno-jargon, especially during battles, can be confusing but it helped to know something about economics. ( read more)

This was a very fast-paced anime series and it has to be for the small amount of episodes. The techno-jargon, especially during battles, can be confusing but it helped to know something about economics. I will admit the battles didn't always make sense but they were action packed and hold your attention as well as providing tension at just the right moments.
Technically the animation is smooth and very well drawn. Action sequences are tight and fluid. The soundtrack provides great ambient support for the visuals on-screen. OP and ED were good but not necessarily keepers in my opinion.
What I mostly liked about this series was its uniqueness. Although it had kind of a 'matrix' feel to it, the concept of using money and finance as a means of battle and altering the future is something I've never come across before. The storyline was just fleshed out enough to provide you with insight into 'why' things are happening and the characters are acting as they do. Yes, some details are necessarily left out but that's not a detraction.
What I didn't like, as usual, was how the series wrapped some things up. I did enjoy the ending, don't get me wrong.
*semi-spoiler alert*
But if Mashyu represents Kimimora's future, then I would've liked to have seen her somehow present in the ending. Being a sucker for romance, it would've been cool if he'd seen her in the real world so we as the viewers would get the feeling of closure to the romance the series hinted at between them.
*end semi-spoiler alert*
In any case, this was a highly interesting series and I'm glad they left open the possibility for a future installment as I for one would greatly enjoy seeing more of this anime.

I enjoyed this anime. The story was unique, revolving around the saying, "money is the root of all evil." The storyline had unexpected twists and kept me wanting more. The dialogue was pretty good as well. My only grudge with the dialogue was the distortion effect used when characters were speaking with their "assets" (the embodiment of their future) in the real world through their card. The distortion effect made it really difficult to understand the dialogue and the subtitles usually flew by so quickly that I had to pause just to read what ( read more)

The animation was crisp and beautiful...even the creepy characters.
The only thing I really didn't like about the story was the ending. It left too many unanswered questions and felt like the animators had to finish the story quickly due to cancellation. ( show less)

"C - the money of soul and possibility control"'s biggest selling points are the ideas voiced throughout the series. The most noticeable of these is the discussion between working for a better present or a better future. There are a couple of parties with different ideals and although only one of them wins that doesn't completely convince me that they were right.
The story is good because of the way it played out. It isn't perfect and I had my doubts at first but it became very captivating almost immediately. A lot isn't explained and I would ( read more)

I know many viewers like battles (and so do I occasionally) but I can't understand what their purpose is in the system though I probably shouldn't try to understand the system at all. The battles themselves aren't the best I've seen either. They're a bit short (though no real complaints there) and can suddenly be over.
The dialogue was a bit hard to follow here and there and sometimes I was still thinking about the last thing that was said while they kept talking which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
The art style is a little weird but otherwise very fluent.
"C - the money of soul and possibility control" has a cool story that will keep you wanting to know what happens next. It teaches some interesting ideas but they aren't that easily applied in real life.
If you like a mix of seriousness and action I would recommend this. ( show less)

Its a good anime it has a lot of potential I enjoy how people say it should go on when you can clearly read "still airing"
The summery of the anime doest do it justice the finicial district is literually a different dimension where they go to fight exchnge stocks and what not its almost comparable to zach bell or something simular each person who's choosen randomly gets a pet "asset" and uses it to do battle with other people to gain money you are required to fight once a week or your kicked out of this "finicial district" if making money was ( read more)

In short this anime is action packed, full of suspense, emmotion, love, war...etc very well done if the first episode doesn't get you then you probably won't like the rest of the show hope you have as much fun watching it as I did and hope this review was semi helpful =p ( show less)

I have one warning before the review: When you start hearing English brace yourself
Was a great anime, but they could do so much more at least that's what it seemed like, possibly soon affecting the whole world? Was a great anime truly goes into what greed/power or whatever you'd like to call it for some that don't entirely grasp it. Would've been cool to understand more of all the characters assets (Futures), but it's a great series something new and fresh, what more can you ask?

If this show were half the quality and twice as long I'd still have loved it. Just so long as there wasn't any more english (gah those were horrible accents lol).
