In the future, personal computers have developed into "Persocons", mobile computers that look like human beings. Hideki Motosuwa, a prep school student, desperately wants to buy a Persocon but cannot afford to. One day he finds a Persocon that has been thrown away and decides to keep it. When he turns on the Persocon, all she can say is "Chii" so he decides to name her that. After a while it starts to become apparent that Chii is more than an average Persocon. Having much better performance, it seems that Chii might be a "Chobit", a type of advanced Persocon rumored to have independent thought. |

A beautifully crafted anime that shows a love between a human and a man-made machine. Though in some forms this anime is typical, it depicts a truthful and cute atmosphere. My thoughts on the story were of only good for it does not allow one to stray from the plot. It is a mystery at first with only a story that leads to the truth and allows the characters to choose. This anime allows one to ponder what they would do in that situation, it allows you to think about love and it's meaning to you as you watch. If you like romance, comedy with some seriousness you'll love this anime.
