first of all if it is not good how come they made 104 episode in anime approximately five seasons
second of all it is not like 70% of the episode are filler that mean you did not watch the whole series and if you watched the whole 104 episode and say about 70% filler then from the first five episode you should quit but instead you watched the whole series and you say it is not good come on that is funny that mean you did not like the series but watched 104 episode that is hilarious ...
third the comedy is very reasonable in this anime it is balanced
forth the dramatic scenes are very attracting
the ecchi part is not affecting the story which mean they focused on the story more than putting unnecessary scenes like panties shot
fifth the design, drawing and characteristic of each characters is unique and has its own flavor
the only bad thing that they stopped at episode 104 they should made more...
sixth the mystery in this series is very good i could not predict what will come next in the next episode.
seventh i watched this series 3 times and still down loading the manga

anime: good one, not quite my fav as it's a shounen but I like it. Much emphasis on the supernatural/action/friendship theme yet fresh with lots of comedy in character interaction. Animation's not the very highest level but definitely good, quite dark at times yet bright and colourful where it needs to be. Character design & dynamics are excellent. Only a pity it's never been finished. There's the manga (ought to be at manga-access.com) but I'm not much of a manga reader so I'm still waiting for a second anime season... ^^ (show less)

For a short overview: You might like the story if you like an original and well-thought out plot, a good balance between humour, friendship, action, and drama/tragedy, individual and likable characters, funny dialogue, an entertaining animation with intense artwork, and music that fits the atmosphere and characters. Though it is shounen genre, it's not a typical anime artwork, and subtle elements may even appeal to the female audience. The problems of this anime lie in a few filler episodes, but even more in the very abrupt end; the dialogue, as well as the fights can get repetitive. In terms of storyline (fillers and abrupt end), the manga of course is better, but decide for yourself.
