Yagami Light is an ace student with great prospects, who's bored out of his mind. One day he finds the "Death Note": a notebook from the realm of the Death Gods, with the power to kill people in any way he desires. With the Death Note in hand, Light decides to create his perfect world, without crime or criminals. My friend told me to watch this, and it turned out to be one of the best animes ive ever watched! Its diffrent from other animes ive watched like bleach and naruto, which focus a lot on fighting (don't get me wrong, i love that stuff =). Death note is like a battle of wits between two super smart guys...and it couldn't be more exciting. The way L and Light figure stuff out blows my mind.THe only think i don't like about the anime is the second theme song (emo much?) and that fact that it was so short. This anime could easily have survived for another 10 or 20 episodes. But i still recommend it to everyone as a must watch.
