Summary:
Yagami Light is an ace student with great prospects, who's bored out of his mind. One day he finds the "Death Note": a notebook from the realm of the Death Gods, with the power to kill people in any way he desires. With the Death Note in hand, Light decides to create his perfect world, without crime or criminals. However, when criminals start dropping dead one by one, the authorites send the legendary detective L to track down the killer, and a battle of wits, deception and logic ensues...
...Honestly, I'm not sure what to say. This is probably one of the best (If not the best) things I have ever seen, you would have to watch it to understand. Admitedly I don't think it would appeal to everyone but its still worth watching. As if you are reading this you have probably heard the story revolves around Light Yagami who finds a shingami's (Death God's) notebook which has the power to kill anyone whose name is written in the notebook. Light then decides to use this power to kill all of the worlds criminals an create an ideal world but an increadible dective called L who can solve any case is called in to try and stop him and the remainder of the story is their battle of wits in order to outsmart and catch the other. I would recommend this to anyone (except maybe for some younger audiences) especially if you are a fan of dective or mystery shows.
