this anime is part of Masaki Kajishima line of work. Which i'm sure you all know who does the tenchi muyo series. The animation and story definately have the Tenchi feel along with a health dose of comedy, but instead of space. there is eva like robots but without the mind confusing story behind it like in eva.
If you wanna watch an anime with some good robot action, comedy and simple harem story line, then is an anime you gotcha watch

Just watch it, and I dare you come up with a reason why this show is'nt a rip off of Evangelion.
Its a fusion of Eva and any "Harem" themed show (I.E. Tenchi Muyo!, Ladies x Butlers), just Eva units added into the mix (oops, I mean "Core robots"). Nothing really stands out with this series and everything that this show does there's another that does it better.
Its not a terrible show, Its just .... okay.
