Durarara!! (デュラララ!!) is a light novel written by Ryohgo Narita and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. There is both a manga (illustrated by Akiyo Satorigi) and anime (director Takahiro Omori studio Brain's Base) adaptation. It has a large cast of main characters including Mikado Ryūgamine (who is new to Ikebukuro), an anonymous gang called Dollars, and a modern Dullahan.

nice story:it starts out a little slow, but as it progresses it gets interesting.
Entertainment: you will probably get a little bored at the start, but it will get better from mid to end.
All in all i suggest you watch this anime if you are free with time.

This anime is... different. It's a bit hard to follow, but for some reason I found myself hooked. I've only seen 6 or 7 episodes so far, so I may not be in any position to judge, but I'm having trouble understanding where the story is really going. Nevertheless, the opening and the first episode were enough to make me keep watching.
This is an interesting series, so give it a try and see if tickles your fancy!

Durarara showed me how myths and legends could still exist in modern cities.
The story's good and mysterious. Many things are only revealed later which makes a seemingly normal schoollife into a modern version of an old tale. This was perfectly summarized by the words of one of the characters near the end of the series:
"There's no such thing as a normal person."
De converstations are pretty deep and sometimes I get the feeling there's even more meaning you can't see the first time you watch. Chatroom sessions can be important to understand ( read more)

The animations ordinary. Some things were really well done but not enough to make it stand out.
This anime started quite slow and it kind of changes main characters in the middle which causes it to build up suspense again but especially near the end, I couldn't stop watching.
By the way, the creators of this anime and Baccano really knows how to make intros ( show less)

Okej lots to tell,
FIRST WHY IS THIS ANIME SO HIGH ranked, there are zillions animes better then thisin the "most popular"section
For example Samurai 7, also 25 eps wayyyyy better!
Okej, DIALOGUE, emotions, Animation, PERFECT, background story also verry good, but takes alot of eps,
i quitted when i was on ep 10, Then it gets verry boring, for some reason,
also to many coincidences in the story, a super strong woman is chasing a Noob runner, and even on motorcycle she cant catch him, while she is super strong cant ( read more)

This is a good anime, NOT a great one. Though at the beginning you may feel a bit lost but persevere, in the hope that all will be revealed in time. The good thing is that it has many layers and it makes you wanna see what will happen next; the information in one episode lets you predict what will happen in the next. So, its fun to find out what will happen next, cause, as expected, things don't turn out as you predict them to.
Plus, all characters are colored in, in time, and connections are shown between them. It shows how, even in a big city, ( read more)

Plus, all characters are colored in, in time, and connections are shown between them. It shows how, even in a big city, we live in a small world. The characters are very very different, some are normal humans, some have powers, yet they all have some part to play....hmm this line of talk will go into spoilers now....so suffice to say, NOT boring, VERY interesting, and it gives some food for thought as well....worth giving a try..... At first I wasn't impressed. It had a pretty interesting style, but nothing really happened that caught my interest. A little while into the show, it became epic, and just plain awesome. The show definitely had one of the best cast of characters. Simon, Celty, Izaya, and Shizuo were great. I already decided that I will cosplay as Shizuo. The ending could have been better, but did I still enjoy it? Yes. Maybe this was the best ending. It was certainly different, and if it had a standard ending, then it might not have had the same impact.

The music was really great. The two OPs can easily get stuck in my head. The background music didn't have much I could just listened to, but it fit the show well. It was pretty unique for an anime. ( show less)
