Honestly, I forced to watch Gantz by my brother. The animation isn't that great, the story is hard to explain, and when you watch it at the end, you'll see how much of a waste oftime the show was. I've said this before for other shows, but this is another show that guys would probably like a little more. I do dig action, but I hated this show.

‘Gantz’ is undoubtedly in the top 3 for worst anime I’ve ever seen! I am finding it hard to put into words how awful I found it. Saying this you may wonder how I made it through all 26 episodes, and to be honest I am unsure.
The story is very broken. You aren’t informed throughout the anime about many things such as the alienesque concepts that frequently appear, why certain things happen to the characters, who is the person in power, etcetera, etcetera….

What offended me the most (yes I was nearly yelling at the screen while it was happening) was character behaviour. I don’t want to give anything away if you decide to watch this, however it was abysmal. For example (this does not happen) If a person crawled up to you dying of thirst while you were handing out free water samples, would you then watch them continue to die for 10 minutes and then decide to start tap-dancing? Concepts made no sense, and I found this irritating! Humans did not behave like humans. If you don’t understand what I am saying after watching the scene involving a subway you may actually enjoy Gantz.
On a positive note, something about Gantz captivated me until the final episode. It wasn’t the heavy sexual overtones I assure you, and it most certainly wasn’t the plot. I guess I found the technology interesting, and the fact I had nothing else to watch may have helped. ( show less)

There are times when one of my favorite manga's is turned into an anime, and I either get excited or I want to punch a baby (not really, but you get the point). Gantz got me excited, then I reallized that I was sitting through some of the worst filler I have ever come across in a while.
It goes into pointless plotlines that have absolutely nothing to do with the story, and Gantz will spend nearly entire episodes on how an old woman that was barely mentioned in the manga has a major role in the show. Its a cop out for people who read the manga, ( read more)

Its a cop out for people who read the manga, and it will piss you off. Not to mention that the manga is still ongoing and the anime barely covers the three missions out of nine or so that happen in the manga.
If you are still reading this then, I have to say GO READ THE MANGA, unless you love filler that much. ( show less)
