Summary: |
With the Laughing Man case behind them, Section 9 is reformed and back in action. As exellent as the 1st GIG introduce a sci-fi touched reality, the 2nd GIG continues. The storyline establishs a well-conceived plot with a nice tension built-up, which makes you desire to watch the next episode. Also the content fits awesome into the political and social environment from the other parts.
The animation itself satisfies any requirement i would personal request from an anime and it fits well into the scenario.
Overall GitS is worth watching if you like sci-fi touched, well-conceived realites with a tension filled storyline and ( read more)

As with season 1, this series is an excellent social and political commentary on top of being superb sci-fi. Everyything seems purposeful towards driving the plot and themes and it goes without saying, you must watch season 1 (1st gig) to truly appreciate the level of thought that has gone into this adaptation. To be honest I wasn't a fan of the theatrical GitS (not the stand alone complex ones; those are all excellent) but this seems to be more faithful to the manga plotline.
