I really enjoyed this Anime. The Animation is great and the stories are fantastique.
Sadly, it had to end....I would like to know Maki-san's secrets, too!! :) Just like Aoki.
Maybe (when the Manga is finished) there will be a second season...I WOULD HOPE SO! I can only recommend this anime...IF you like horror and psychological animes. :)

One of the few animes that I can actually re-watch and not get board with.
The first episode seemed sort of dull at in the beggining, but as it progressed the concept became more and more interesting. The second episode was what really hooked me. It was like watching CSI in a way, except less emphasis on the crime scene and less Hollywood in feel. The writting is great, the characters are all dynamic and memorable, and there is hardly a predictible moment throughout the series.
A great mystery anime!!!

Himitsu emphasizes the importance of secrets and justice. It asks the viewers to think...will it be better if everything just remained as it is? A secret? Would you rather dig up the truth? even if it means that you'll get dirty? How important is privacy?

and more importantly...if you be deceased, would you rather die with your secrets and allow the man who had taken your precious life roam free from all burden OR exact your revenge exposing your self to the world as they bare you with your life and your secrets?

For those who like anime with some mystery / detective theme like MONSTER or in lesser extent Deathnote this might be a good anime to stay entertained for a while.

The story follows a team which can extract the memories of the brain ( of dead people that is) and try to solve murder cases, the story has some horror moments which are so rare it can be quite scary. There is a lot of talking but its quite solid. There is quite some blood as well ( actually quite some gruesome murder cases ) so if you cannot stand blood ( or brains! ) or people with (read more)

The plot is really well written, some of the episodes are a bit inconsistent in a way of investigation, but it comes up rather handy - otherwise it would be boring and would not last for 22 minutes.

Very good Soundtrack, well created characters, dialogues a bit excessive but not really distrurbing.
It's more of a detective story than action anime, the main point is investigation and thoughts although there is a bit of shooting from time to time.

Warning: If you're easily disgusted by decomposed bodies, psychological violence and things like (read more)
