This is a very good anime that children should watch as it shows the characters growing up. I really like this.

I am glad that anime like this exist. I really loved how they portrayed this. :) I really appreciate whomever made this anime because this is something that children need to see if they are having trouble with the inside and outside not feeling the same. I hope this anime helps people a lot! :D

This anime is amazing,
"I also have the same thing like Shuichi Nitori but i never thought of being a girl.
I didn't dress up as a girl nor act as a girl, but people make fun of me, laugh at me, though i haven't done anything wrong with them.
I heard some of them were saying i look like a girl, some mistakenly thought i was a girl.
But i don't see myself as a girl,
I am a boy, but different to those ordinary boys.
I'm not saying i'm special, just somehow..not like the typical ones.
I became conscious and nervous when going out.
Wish i was ( read more)

~My thoughts, which i think could somehow be Shu Nitori's thoughts too...
Try watching this anime!
Just be open-minded. (just like the previous review said)
This shows a part of how kids grow, maturity, what they experience.
A character in this anime could be you, your friend, or someone else in real life.
Each of us experienced growing up, and continue learning and pursuing our lives.
~Thumbs up to this one!
Maybe some people will see this as boring, if only you could put a little understanding then you'll learn.
I, somehow see myself in Shu Nitori, not totally, but still....
*Read my personal thoughts/msg above.
Thanks for reading my post.

Just finished this anime and it is really great. Different from other typical anime, this is thought-provoking and the story is really well plotted out. The way they depicted the characters and the animation style was really awesome aswell.
If you're looking for something meaningful and are open to thinking about the examination of gender and gender roles with a cute backstory, this is it~
I loved it :)

Wandering Son shows a young boy who learns about love, puberty, friendship and identity; it explores the concept of growing up, from a child to a young adult. It’s a definite watch for people who are into the genre Slice of Life. No fancy frilly magic or over used sex scenarios, so if you’re into those genres this isn't the anime for you.
The story development was played at a reasonable pace, it’s a story line the almost anyone could relate to since everyone has been through the experience of puberty, with maybe the expectation of gender ( read more)

The story development was played at a reasonable pace, it’s a story line the almost anyone could relate to since everyone has been through the experience of puberty, with maybe the expectation of gender issues.
The animation is realistic based style were it shows impurity’s such as pimples, and distinctive character differences and it’s not a style which everyone looks the same. A huge leap from the typical shoujo, bishoujo style anime.
Entertainment was top notch it keeps my interest until the latest episode, though it’s a shame that it’s not a very popular anime, since I believe it should be. Too bad everyone is interested in those other hentai and blood and guts Animes, because they're missing out on something that actually makes people think.
A guaranteed must watch, for open minded people. ( show less)

Hourou Musuko is a very deep and touching anime, and especialy relevent to anyone who like me has gender issues or has ever thought they were caged by being "male" or "female"
A very thought provoking anime and it will be interesting to see where it takes us with future episodes.
A must watch for open minded people.
