As the two begin their life as middle school students, they reflect on the events of their elementary school days, during which Shūichi confessed to Yoshino, but was rejected because she was not ready for love yet. Just finished this anime and it is really great. Different from other typical anime, this is thought-provoking and the story is really well plotted out. The way they depicted the characters and the animation style was really awesome aswell.
If you're looking for something meaningful and are open to thinking about the examination of gender and gender roles with a cute backstory, this is it~
I loved it :)
