I was impressed when I found this one, though its description is comprehensible its still way to complex to understand with a short reference.. though IM very glad I decided to watch it.

The story is amazing in its flow and ability to draw you into watching each episode. It has a very directed and specific story yet despite that finds in itself both to be a serious action and a enjoyable comedy. I find the way it can keep the laughs coming despite the action and flow of the story is incredible to say the least.

The Dialogue is strong. It has a score of fine actors and actually quite a few really good support actors as even minor actors who I have never heard before are fitting characters in this show. Since every episode is nearly X2 the length of the average anime having lively yet realistic voices was key and honestly its done very well. I can visualize myself in this world through the voices and of course the animation.

The Animation is good. I find it fairly good. However the action scenes and indeed every motion of every character seems to flow.. unlike other shows the movements are precise but give off a realistic feel. When you watch a show and the characters literally jump 10 feet and it feels like nothing you know your immersed in the world and you have the artists to thank for that.

The Entertainment is excellent. Its not only a wonderful action piece with hilarious wonderful humor. It has a certain flow and lifelike quality to it. It is so complex on many levels that is bears watching again yet is so fresh watching again wont make it any less exciting. The only quality I cant call perfect in this show is the music.. especially in the first episode. You see the music is stunning and beautiful however in the beginning the show doesn't have the correct music for each part.. its like the artists are going for an alien feel than normal rather than a realistic flow. Perhaps that's some of the charm- it wants to make you feel the intensity yet feel the lightness and the flow of the show and at the same time relize the story is being told from a new perspective..

At any rate this is a wonderful anime and recommend for anyone to see as a must.

Which isnt a bad thing, if you are the sort who likes the style of humor that comes from Tenchi Muyo. Which of course I am. But, I have to be fair.

The main character is pricelessly amusing. He's also practically Superman, but its played for comic relief, so you don't dislike him (though suspension of disbelief is really required at times). Though the abilities of some of the other characters is also rather extreme as well, in short, nobody is 'normal' by any stretch of the word.

The outfits at times are out there (in a good sort of way), and the designs are played either for the cool factor or the comic relief (depending on the scene of course). The Mecha that exist are either purely functional (the training units) or purely cool (most of them).

The plotline was typical, but that doesnt mean its a bad thing, as while you knew what to expect, they made it enjoyable seeing how things played out. This to me, is the signs of a well arranged story, that while you know whats going to happen, you still are able to enjoy it.

When all is said and done, for anyone who loved Tenchi Muyou, you should watch this. For anyone else, if you want a light hearted romp with Mecha, Action and Comedy, you should give this a shot (I can think of worse ways to spend 30 minutes!) (show less)
