Parasyte: The Maxim

This was a well thought out and well done animation. Consisting of a great plot, with dynamic dialogue, you follow the story of Shinichi through The Maxim or outbreak/infestation. With a high entertainment value coming from how the plot flows to the fights and then hangs you out to dry only to reel you in through a sea of blood the dark animation style leaves you simply wanting more.

The Story is Excellent, well thought out and achieved in great form.
The Dialogue is Good, it does not disappoint, but like most dialogue, fault can still be found.
The Animation is Excellent, dark as it may be, with only little balancing it, spot on is my vote.
The Entertainment Factor, I have nothing but praise for this anime, it grabs and doesn't let go. (show less)

At first, i thought it would just be another dumb story. I mean you see, what do you expect from the synopsis. I don't expect it to have enough idea to keep up with the story. Just a normal killing around since they can't coexist with other parasytes. But it proved me to be wrong. The pace is great and it never let me down so far. Surprising me with every episode aired so far. And the manga ended about 20 years ago for your information. And the anime adaption is at the right time now. If there's an anime adaption for this anime 10 years ago or before, it won't be entertaining as it is now. You can understand what i mean after you have watched kanon and kanon(2006) in terms of art. The storyline seems slow, but if you pay attention, you will notice the time gaps here and there between episodes. The character development is extremely out of the box and there isn't too much back story for the characters. The main character(s) symbiotic relationship takes a turn around episode 5 and makes it more appealing as though they evolved together. The first few episodes were really angsty and heavily slow in my opinion, but it is worth watching. If you can't handle psychological anime, it might not be for you, but you wont know if you like it unless you try it. (show less)
