Summary: Three scientists at the Foundation for Psychiatric Research fail to secure a device they've invented, the D.C. Mini, which allows people to record and watch their dreams. A thief uses the device to enter people's minds, when awake, and distract them with their own dreams and those of others. Chaos ensues. The trio - Chiba, Tokita, and Shima - assisted by a police inspector and by a sprite named Paprika must try to identify the thief as they ward off the thief's attacks on their own psyches. Dreams, reality, and the movies merge, while characters question the limits of science and the wisdom of Big Brother.

Paprika gives you a great, weird, surrealistic and psychological story. I don't mind at all small number of characters who are involved in the plot, they are very well portrayed and they are quite amusing. Music was incredible, it has stirred my emotions. I love relationship between Chiba Atsuko and Tokita, their dialogues were touching. Breath-taking mindfuck story line (which in some parts seems schizophrenic) and very artistic colorful animation with a full of surprisingly awesome animated scenes will take you to experience a journey of touchable (read more)

This is a brilliant and colorful peace of animation. It's creative and has a unique rythm. You'll understand what I mean when you see it. I love the opening of the movie. It's a bit weird and hard to follow at times when it comes to the plot, but otherwise it's really a thrilling ride, as the character relationships and the central theme of the story are both very original and gripping. It really takes you into a dream world.
