I grew up with might morphin power rangers sailor moon and pokemon, and after 10 years of pokemon you'd think he wouldn't be 10 years old anymore, my issue isn't with the 600+ pokemon there are now (I remember the original 150(151 with mew even though mew came before mewtwo)) my problem is that none of the stories seem to connect at all. Basically every series of pokemon now (unlike the old one with brock and misty) is just the creators pressing reset on ashes life even though he's keeping pikachu and his personality, and his pokemon from regions he couldn't of been to in a years time (logically) he gets a reset button yet doesn't lose anything and it doesn't make any sense. Pushing the show towards a game is just stupid in my opinion they should like the other person before me said, be showing how ash has matured, I would of loved to see a 16-18 year old ash as a pokemon trainer, hell maybe even a gym leader, this 10 year old bs has gotten old and is a major turn off of the series. I have played every single pokemon game up till diamond pearl and their little combination of both with the worm pokemon on it for ds, I've stopped because it's become so predictable and it's not entertaining anymore. Well there you have my two sense, the original is better in so many ways, but if you're 12 and just getting into pokemon this show could be for you but if you've sat through a good 6+ seasons of watching a character not develop at all then you'll be majorly turned off by this.
