A shy and unconfident teenager, Itou Makoto, has resigned to stealing glances at a cute girl as they ride the same train each morning on their way to their high school. At least until Saionji Sekai surprises Makoto and chances a peek at a photo-snap of the beautiful Katsura on his cell-phone. After evilly teasing Makoto about his hopeless crush, Sekai offers to support him in his romance. So after many Makoto-pep-talks and lots of scheming, the three become close friends. Close enough that Makoto braves asking Katsura out on a date. And she agrees. Later that day, Makoto finds a quiet moment to express his thanks for all support that Sekai has offered him, and makes clear his intent on finding a way to repay her kindness. But he is totally unprepared and very surprised at the reward that Sekai has chosen. Sekai steals a long kiss from his lips, before breaking away to run for the train. Sekai turns and wishes Makoto well on his date.

i love the anime and the ecchiness of the story or in short i love all except the ending .. the ending breaks my heart ,, in the first episode i though this is very amazing but in the end WTF are you kidding me .. this is horrible .. (sorry for the words) ..

This anime is by fr the best anime i had watched so far. Even though my friend said that it is fucked up, i think it was awesome and that it was unpredictable. This anime may be horrific at the end but the story-line that it had was the best (if you can keep track (unlike my friend)). I recomend watching this anime if you like the unpredictable. The OVAs were the only ones that i found funny.

this anime remembers me when the first DVD i've buy... the sales person tell me "i dont buy this if i were u"...
but im a lil eager tu know what is he talking about.. so i buy it... at the end of the story.. i be like.. "OMG...?"
i dont even think that things would be that way... but i got to say.. this anime is great and a lil bit sad at the end.. but still this is the first... and this is the best.. (beside Higurashi no naku koro ni and Another) i recommended for first time wacthing sad/bad ending anime...

Watching this changed my opinion on animes. Beware this is not a comedy(in fact it's quite gloomy in the end).
Normally when adapting from a game with multitude endings you take the best one(a good one) but this one innovates.Most romance animes would take 6 or more episodes(or even till the show ends) to do what this one has done in it's first episode.
You must have a strong heart to watch this completely(as you may be horrified after watching all its episodes).
Writing anymore would spoil it.

your right that this anime is insane beyond human comprehension but i think they made the ending of this anime this way so people will buy the game version because in the game version you guide makoto in different paths in the story you could make the ending happy or sad depending on your choices if you want the game do not ask me i am still finding a way to get it

I started watching School Days and was thinking of the slice of life involved, how an interesting love triangle progressed, but I honestly didn't imagine the series to end the way it did. Was either going "WTF" or "that's person's crazy" by the time I finished all the episodes. If you want a twist shocking story, then I recommend this anime.

okay at first when i watch this anime i was like okay a regular slice of life, romance thing. as i watch i got really into it and when ti came to the 7th and 8th episode i was like WTF!!!. and the ending to me i think no one could have predict that, i was totally shock out of my mind i was speechless, confuse and most of all i was like WTF, that was the only three words i could have said after watching this anime.
its not one of best anime i had ever watch but the story is good.

So now that I've seen it all I can't love it anymore... I can't hate it either. This show was amazing in its ability to keep me glued to it, I never had it all quite figured out til the last two episodes. The show keeps u sucked in with its twists and turns and just how badly u want to scream at these people. However I half hate it too, cause in the end He just puts every blessing given in the shitter. I was so crushed by the ending of this show. I don't watch totally romantic type like this but other comedy types I love.But as for this one I would say a top class anime and a truly a slice of life showing the sekai(world).
Firstly as most of the review described the whole anime so I will again summarize it,don't mind if the review is too long.

The main theme is that Makoto loses the tack and starts the dark activities and also other girls fall for it.
I knew the story from the reviews so I just wanted to see the ending and actually I could not bear the rest of the sorrowful story.
Finally the ending couldn't have been better.
Death,departure,sadness full of lies......
Makoto really did bad things and he deserved it but for sekai she also had some fault and about other girls well its not brothel like but it's the scenery of most modern schools.Katsura well she had to to suffer the most.
So I recommend it to all those who even does not like this type like me should take a lesson and those who are aware view this and those who are in should get a lesson.
Nothing more to say but though I didn't like this (means one I would love to watch anytime) but deserves the higher class ranking for setting an example. A 5 out of 5(100%).
