I have to say at first I wasnt sure what to think after reading the synopsis. However, after watching the first episode I have been hooked ever since. I love the combination of music, singing and fighting incorporated into the story and fight scenes. Very unique and well blended. The music is fantastic, downloaded the opening and ending songs to Ipod to workout with.
The character development is just what I expected from an anime of this type. One we see repeated in lots of animes, however it is still fresh and it remains my favorite story/character ( read more)

Lol the idea of singing and fighting pisses me off, could be better if they keep their mouth shut when fighting and just play the song :( , i didnt expect from this anime much i gave it a try cause i was bored, the fighting scenes are well made compared to most of animes where the fight sucks (DxD)(C3cupe)...
the story however is good Noise and stuff, not childish (there is blood and u see (ehm) deis.
watch it,if you dont want to see some people sing to get their suit on,then dont.

Okay, I'm new to this website, but I'm a huge fan of anime (watched at least more than 100 series...I just stopped counting ^^'). I hope this is going to be helpful.
First few minutes of the anime caught me. Implying the death of major character and stuff... I thought: Oh, this seems good and original, not many anime starts by announcing the future of their character like this. Then...we jumped on Macross style.
The little girl waiting for the show, tons of holographic posters of the singers with Sheryl-like suit, the location looking really ( read more)

The little girl waiting for the show, tons of holographic posters of the singers with Sheryl-like suit, the location looking really similar, cell phone talking... I was like: Okay, this is just like Ranka and those girls are exactly as if we had split Sheryl in two. Also, the singing while fighting part... But then, it happened! I won’t spoil you, but something major happened and gave this anime something special. So yeah, I thought at first that this was as if we took Macross Frontier and Madoka Magica and had them have a baby. Oh god, I was so wrong!! After watching the fourth episode, my conclusion is not the same.
This show got an excellent story (very original with the mecha-magical part), great animation sequence and excellent characters. Yes, they sing, but not the Macross frontier way. Unlike Macross, their songs doesn’t affect the monsters, it just gives the girls power. Yes, it is a dark magical girl anime, but it’s completely different of Madoka Magica, not the same atmosphere, not the same kind of Magical girl. There is no cute talking animal by the way...
So, my advice would be: don’t let yourself fall into the old ‘this anime looks like others’ pattern. Yes, there are similarities at first (there always is similarities because there is so many anime out there), but if you give Senhime the time to develop his story, you will be discovering what I think is so far one of the best anime of this winter season.
Enjoy ^_^! ( show less)

Another Dark Magicial Girl Anime?

Honestly at first the whole thought of magicial girls fighting creatures with the power of music (well in this case they have to sing in order to us their powers) and then having the same characters as pop idols seemed well...stupid. But it wasn't until I watched the first ep (now finished ep 4) that I realized..."Holy Fuck, this is one of THOSE magicial girl animes (Madoka Magica reference)" I'm not comparing it to Madoka, but they are similar in the fact that its a pretty dark plot and the things they fight look oddly animated. That said...the battle animation is superb, I wouldn't classify it as Mecha but still, the fight scenes are well animated along with the fact that it has a really good soundtrack considering they have to sing when they fight. Now I won't spoil it, but you should know what classifies this as a Dark Magicial Girl anime:
There's actual blood (hell, even a character is bleeding from her eyes)
There's actual violence as in slicing stuff (though the creatures they fight seem to lack any blood at all)
Innocent NPC's die
Characters have their own psychoctic/creepy moments
A MAIN CHARACTER DIES!!!! (note, that's not a spoiler since its the first ep). But the good thing about this show is that if you grew attacted to the dead character then you'll see them frequently in the next few eps during flashbacks. So at least the character isn't technically off the show. The only issue I have with this show (at least with the first ep) is that they talk really over dramatic, like "Don't Give into Death!" and other cheesy stuff. They could do wihtout those lines. But either ways, if you liked Madoka Magica then I reccomend this show for you. ( show less)

came across this anime while i was waiting for the rest to update, surprisingly it immediately caught my attention.
i am not a fan of mecha type anime, but this pique me alot. it has a good plot, and i like how they associate it with songs that makes it more interesting.
it would be a worthwhile anime to watch as it's something new. character design, not very up to the standard of the other mecha anime, but the song rocks.

Such a rip off of Macross Frontier, i watched roughly 10 mins before i couldn't take it anymore, i think i stopped watching when the girl started to sing and the monsters just stopped in their tracks. The only good thing about this anime is its animation which is a waste with this story. All in all a pretty bad anime i would only reccomend it if you got nothing better to do and haven't watched Macross.

I watched the first episode outta curiosity as well, and this show just kinda came outta left field! The story at first can seem a little confusing, but it gets understandable as the episode progresses. The story also reminds me that of Mahou Shojou Madoka Magicka because of the whole really surprising parts that happen, however in this show its like surprising right up front. Now I say this is a musical because in order to use their armor they have to sing a song. It may seem weird or dumb but it actually works really well together because they ( read more)

Animation is great, especially during battles. So I'm really looking forward to how the story unfolds. ( show less)
