This movie is the best thing since sliced bread. I loved the graphics, the plot and storyline but more importantly I loved the character development and the interlinking destinies of each character (the old Hag Witch included). It ends with alot of promise - insinuating that there is always something to look forward to if you do right by others as well as yourself. Of course it does help the humour of the film that the male protagonist is somewhat of a stiff but hey - that's what chihiro is there for. Haku is the epitome of a cold personality but strangely enough he feels oddly connected to chihiro. this just goes to show that no matter how old the memories, they never truly die. an extraordinary film - a must watch for those who enjoy the supernatural and anything else related to yokai :) (show less)

A trip into another world, Spirited Away is an unusual awe-inspiring movie filled with plenty of interesting and enjoyable characters. It starts out with a girl and her two parents on a trip, for one reason or another they leave their car and enter a village. This village is filled with freshly made food and snacks but there is one thing wrong: there are no people in the village. From there the girl's world turns upside down as she embarks on an adventure into the world of monsters, ghosts and spiritual beings. As she encounters and deals with all her situations she creates new friendships and learns bizarre things along the way. Take this movie as an experiance different to common anime, Spirited Away is as strange as it is entertaining and that is why it is worth watching. It ranks an awesome on the bizarre scale and delivers a unique story that is hardly found anymore. (show less)
