When timid eleventh-grader and math genius Kenji Koiso is asked by older student and secret crush Natsuki to come with her to her family’s Nagano home for a summer job, he agrees without hesitation. Natsuki’s family, the Jinnouchi clan, dates back to the Muromachi era, and they’ve all come together to celebrate the 90th birthday of the spunky matriarch of the family, Sakae. That’s when Kenji discovers his “summer job” is to pretend to be Natsuki’s fiancé and dance with her at the birthday celebration. As Kenji attempts to keep up with Natsuki’s act around her family, he receives a strange math problem on his cell phone which, being a math genius, he can’t resist solving. As it turns out, the solution to the mysterious equation causes a hijacking of the social networking site through which most of the world's social and business traffic flows. |

It is an excellent movie with memorable characters, a good plot and an excellent resolution. This defiantly falls into my top ten for anime Movies.

in one word execellent.at first glance it may seem kinda boring but it`s really awesome.you must watch it.the story is really good and when you will feel exited when you will watch it. so start downloading it HAHAHA.....

The first time i saw this movie. I thought it would be boring but i after watching it i take everything i said back. This is really one of the must watch anime movies. First about the story, it's typically about a story about a hacking of a cyber-world much like the world from the movie "surrogates".The story introduced me to the game "hanafuda" a really great japanese card game too. I can say that this movie's story is almost perfect in every aspect. The animations, awesomely awesome :D. I would recommend this movie to everyone.

Great graphics - definite show of how far animation has come in terms of futuristic gaming. Has lots of intense dramas and "OMG" moments, but not original at all. As soon as the main plotline picks up, it's obvious it's a copy of the original Digimon the Movie (if you don't know the plot, you should wiki it - it'll make more sense). Every single event that happens in Summer Wars correlates with Digimon the Movie; I could predict the entire film. Even the endings are extremely similar.
Good to watch if you're bored, but not something I'd recommend ( read more)

this film totally blew me away. i expected a cheesy storyline but after watching it, i definitely feel it was a good two hours well spent. the story, although a bit corny at some parts, was very captivating. it invoked many great emotions that allowed one to connect with the characters as well as played with many seemingly impossible coincidences that helped it remain interesting all the way through. what this film did, it did very well. and i highly recommend this film to any lovers of anime. Good stuff! >_< b
