The best thing a comedy anime can have is not having a story. Really, if it has a certain story then the jokes will be reoccurring and there won't be any room for new things. That's the only reason why I started watching it and I don't regret a minute of it. The anime follows a bunch of weird guys and even weirder (cute)girls who work in a family restaurant. It tells the stories of their day to day work life and a bit of their personal lives. If you are looking for romance, you'll find a bit of it too but in a weird way(won't tell you, see for yourself). So over all it's a full on entertainment anime and a good use of your free time. Enjoy :) (show less)

When it comes down to entertainment, this particular anime is superb. It has a good number of episodes so it's not short lived either. The pace is also kept constant at all times and it never ceases to entertain!

The characters are all very unique - with each of them having some or other hilarious personality traits. This is the first anime I've ever watched where I did not find any single character even remotely annoying or unnecessary. They're all funny, each in their own ways. Especially how they interact with each other; The main character having an insane obsession with anything tiny (such as the main female character - who is very small), an attractive waitress who is terrified of men and physically assaults them on sight, a mysterious chef whom no one knows anything about but has dirt on EVERYONE else, a beautiful blonde waitress that scares customers with the Katana she always carries around, a manager that does nothing except eat.. The list goes on :) Nowhere during this anime did I not enjoy any one of the characters, at all.

However, it must be said that there isn't anything amazing about the story. It's simple, yet, manages to do exactly what is required; that is, make the anime interesting enough to want to continue watching. However, it's the comedy that is the most important. The sense of humor this anime has is somewhat similar to Minami-ke, or SKET Dance. (Personally, that's the feeling I got from it.) A lot of the humor is sarcasm. It is also very witty and sometimes mysterious to an extent. The humor is well thought out, brilliantly paced and even though some jokes are "over-used" - it remains funny all the way through. Other than humor though there are a few other factors (such as "romance") that are in there as well, however, they're all portrayed in funny ways - even if the scene is "serious". Basically, this anime is funny. Very funny. If you want to laugh - Then you won't be disappointed with it.

The only real complaint I have with this anime, if I had to say any, is that there are no more episodes (perhaps, yet?). I would like to have had some more episodes where the backgrounds of some other characters were explained/covered in more detail, and not just briefly touched upon as they were. (show less)

Working!! is definitely as hilarious as the first season was, if not more funny! A-1 is still doing the animation for the second season and its as amazing as ever!
The dialogue, being the most important part, is THE BEST PART!!! OMG how funny can this show get!! There are subtle things in the show that just make the more obvious things that much more hilarious, which just adds another reason to watch this show again haha.
Now for the only thing that I didn't enjoy about the second season. **SPOILERS**
For the people who were looking forward to seeing how Inama-san and Takanashi-san's relationship develops or waiting to see them get together, it just didnt happen. As far as the romantic aspect of the show, it just served as a sub-plot and only got developed a little bit. Same with the relationship with Sado and Yachiyo, it didn't get developed at all. A really nicely structured anime that keeps you wanting for more for.
Loved all the characters, not just because they are unique but because you get more than what you expect out of them. I especially loved the love relationship establishments between characters and more surprisingly, I found none of them annoying- on the contrary, the more I watched the more I got to love each of the characters.
Also this anime gets a bonus points from me, because they ended the anime perfectly (for me anyway). I would be satisfied if they decided to make another season or just left it as it is.

"Working!!" is an anime of the relaxing type. It doesn't have the best comedy out here but you get sucked into the group and enjoy 'spending time' with them. I really regret that it's only 13 episodes long. I'm sure I could have atleast watched twice that amount.

The story is original. I've never seen anything like it before but it's still a bit slice of life. It's something that could happen to anyone of us to a certain degree. The thing that makes it funny is the characters, everyone of them is bizarre in some way. There might only be one normal character and this anime literally just ignores that person XD

The conversations are good but always a bit what you would expect. The 'main heroine' doesn't get that much lines as one might think (just like she suddenly realises at some point in the series) but the other characters are just as enjoyable.

If you're looking for an easy going anime to get some laughs without all the ecchi or action, this might just be something for you. (show less)
