Summary: Jin, a mysterious kid with a halo carved in his hand, and extraordinary fighting skills, lives with his grandfather in a beggar's community. In other place, the old scientist Amagi is searching for professor Kanzaki, to ask him for the whereabouts of the "player" -a kind of genetic altered humans- Zet, which they created some years ago. Soon, Jin and his grandfather are attacked by a mysterious man who turns into a monster. The connection between professor Amagi and professor Kanzaki, seems to connect also young Jin to the mystery of the "players", and Zet.
The story starts off with a face-off between two rival heroes, ZET and ALPHAS, and then traces their origins - Jin Kanzaki, a young man with the ability to transform into a superhuman being known as ZET, and Kouga Amagi, a young man with a strong sense of justice who uses technology to fight as ALPHAS. The fates of these two men and those around them intertwine as they fight to protect mankind and destroy monstrous abominations known as Players, who ironically are the creations of the Amagi Corp.

pros
+ superior animation with nice attention to detail
+ intense fight scenes
+ plays on an ethical dilemma
cons
- characters and their personalities are hard to understand
- rushed release hardly makes viewers able to empathise
- dialogue isn't that great

conclusion: honestly -- if you haven't yet started on the manga and you still see that the anime's release has been rushed, you know there's something wrong. that's exactly what happened to me. started the manga just recently and it's awesome, but this anime is so rushed it's just meh. (read more)

Well the most important thing to say about this anime is that it does not follow the original storyline of the manga. I must say I didnt read the manga completely but at the moment it skipped a lot of stuff and changed some moments. Therefore I recomend you to read the manga if you cant get into this anime at all.

I personally enjoy this anime a lot. It indeed is very fast paced and that is bad for this kind of anime because it becomes harder to understand the characters and their personality. But to be honest the action and cool designs + the (read more)

A lot of people who thought that this is similar to Bakuman's Reversi are indeed correct. Perhaps the mangakas were inspired by Zetman & made the story as a tribute.

I wish they had stuck with the original story but am glad however that the violence was greatly reduced.

Honestly...Zetman is one of the best mangas i've ever read.
the story is awesome, it's dark, thrilling, entertaining and everything.

But why the hell couldn't the makers of the anime stick to the manga-story?
just why do koga and jin know each other since childhood, why does a player hurt akemi when it should have been some thug/pimp. why does kanzaki die more or less unseen, when should get his arm cut by the chameleon player while protecting jin? that way it would be more obvious how little jin knows, because he tries to glue the arm back (read more)

This anime is very amazing. It poses an ethical dilemna: If someone has the power, is it a good thing to kill criminals? The two main characters in this series are both geniuses on opposite sides of this question, and one is given that power, while the other takes control of the police force to attempt to stop the first. Both are brilliant and cause many interesting plot turns as they attempt to outmaneuver their opponent

This series still could have been revised more. The dialogue is still very simplistic especially during battle when it degenerates into a "I'm better than you are" back and forth taunting. The animation still is full of filler sequences (sequences where all that happens is a character seems to take forever charging up and grunting or switching over to a character that is merely observing a battle). As a result of the insipid dialogue and the filler sequences, what could have been a good story is hamstrung, and the viewer is frustrated by the lack (read more)

Many many trolls write reviews on this website and even moar do they enjoy it if you reply or get mad at them. So let me start with my review

First of all this anime starts off very slow. The first 3 episodes dont seem to make sense and the plot is i9ncredibly hard to understand. But later on after episode 5 you should be able to see what the anime is about. Also The animation looks a little too childish. Its okay if they wanted to animate goku like a girl but did it have to look like this?

Storyline: Many flaws and sadly too many polottwists (read more)
