Summary: Jin, a mysterious kid with a halo carved in his hand, and extraordinary fighting skills, lives with his grandfather in a beggar's community. In other place, the old scientist Amagi is searching for professor Kanzaki, to ask him for the whereabouts of the "player" -a kind of genetic altered humans- Zet, which they created some years ago. Soon, Jin and his grandfather are attacked by a mysterious man who turns into a monster. The connection between professor Amagi and professor Kanzaki, seems to connect also young Jin to the mystery of the "players", and Zet.
The story starts off with a face-off between two rival heroes, ZET and ALPHAS, and then traces their origins - Jin Kanzaki, a young man with the ability to transform into a superhuman being known as ZET, and Kouga Amagi, a young man with a strong sense of justice who uses technology to fight as ALPHAS. The fates of these two men and those around them intertwine as they fight to protect mankind and destroy monstrous abominations known as Players, who ironically are the creations of the Amagi Corp.

Zetman is an anime that is just great entertainment. The story is not superbly fantastic and groundbreaking but it is compelling and portrays a world and set of characters that you easily begin to concern yourself with and want to see their destinies unfold.

The style of animation is a very solid realistic shonen and has a great frame rate during action. The anime is drawn as if it is still trying to keep the dramatic qualities of a manga. The shadowing and linework is superb, and the character design is excellent.

THis is definately a very good super hero type anime with many elements added to keep it from being just a hero saves the day every day in every way deal. It is a well constructed world and the environments and inhabitants make you want to see more of them. The anime is a perfect watch for any superhuman hero, tournament type battle anime lover. THe main character Jin reminds me of ichigo and many fighters learning they have powers and build thier ability as the situations arise for them to need them to protect their loved ones and friends. In that way I am reminded of bleach and other good martial arts anime, but this one has aot of science fiction elements thrown in as well as some touches of mecha. It is a nice menagerie of visual media.

I recommend trying to watch ZETMAN after a couple episodes it willhave you watch it until you don't have any more to download. I hope they have another season or this one goes to 24 episodes at least. THe more the better. Try ZET!
